City Sewing Room is a nonprofit community sewing center located in South St. Louis. With a mission to Stitch - Teach - Share, our community space is used both by drop-in sewists and students participating in our sewing and quilting classes. Our Makers' Mart sells donated fabric, notions, and sewing machines to the public at highly discounted prices.
Tuesday-Thursday: 12-8 PM
Friday: 12-6 PM
Saturday: 12-4 PM
Sunday and Monday: CLOSED

We offer hands-on sewing classes for kids and adults, plus quilting classes, perfect for all skill levels.
Need help finishing your quilt? Choose from a variety of quilting patterns and get expert care for your quilt.
Shop sustainably for $2/lb fabrics! Help us keep 1,700 pounds of materials from landfills each week.
Looking to give back in a fun, creative space? Join us! We have evening, weekend, and summer needs!
Need space to sew or finish a project? No reservation needed. Walk in anytime we're open!
